Forsyth
County, GA is a vibrant and growing community located 30 miles north
of Atlanta on GA 400. Part of the Atlanta metropolitan area;
the cities within Forsyth County include: Alpharetta, Cumming,
Duluth and Suwanee. Forsyth County also includes the Lake
Lanier area, a 37,000 acre Army Corp of Engineers Reservoir.
Forsyth County has been ranked as the fastest growing county in
Georgia. The population in the 2000 census was 98,407 and
the 2006 Census Estimate shows a population of 150,968.

States for several straight years. With the close proximity
to Atlanta and the Blue Ridge mountains, the area has attracted
many of the metro area's new residents. Forsyth County is

Board Names New Principal for South Forsyth HS
The Forsyth County Board of Education named Dr. Jason Branch new principal of South Forsyth HS during their meeting on February 14. Dr. Branch will replace South's current principal, Dr. Gary Davison, for the 2008-09 school year. Davison was previously appointed by the Board to the position of Principal on Special Assignment for the 2008-09 school year preparing to open Lambert HS, where he will serve as principal in 2009-10.
